Design methodology is a collection of procedures, tools and techniques to use when designing (Goals and priorities for research in engineering design, ASME, 1986) Design methodology is a concrete course of action for the design of technical systems that derives its knowledge from design science and cognitive psychology, and from practical experience in different domains. It includes: plans of action to link working steps and design phases according to content and organization
